The
Land Conservancy of New Jersey’s
Scholarship Program Eligibility
The
Land Conservancy of New Jersey offers two annual scholarships the
Russell W. Myers Scholarship and the Rogers Family
Scholarship. You must be able to answer yes to ALL of the
following questions in order to qualify.
1. Are you a resident of the State of New Jersey?
2. Are you a student in good standing (at least 15
credits completed) at a college or university offering a
recognized degree in environmental science, natural
resource management, conservation, horticulture, park
administration, or a related field?
3. Are you considering a career in New Jersey in
one of these environmentally related fields?
4. Do you have a cumulative academic average
equivalent to a 3.0 or higher?

If you answered yes to all of the above questions you are
eligible. Please follow these directions carefully to
submit your application.
1. Complete the application form.
2. Prepare a separate typewritten, double-spaced
essay stating your career goals and how you feel they will
advance the effort of open space preservation, public
education or public recreation. The essay is to be no more
than 500 words in length.
3. Obtain a certified transcript for submission
with your application.
4. Obtain two letters of recommendations - one
community or business reference and one academic
reference. (Please do not submit more than two letters)
5. Please mail the application form, essay,
certified transcript, and letters of recommendation to:

*The Land Conservancy of New Jersey's Trustees and their family members
are ineligible. Employees and interns who have worked for
The Land Conservancy within twelve months prior to the
application deadline and their family members are also
