Megan
Haidet
Megan Haidet joined the Conservancy in 2007 as a
contractor, working on farmland preservation plans. In
November, she was hired on full time at the Conservancy
as Land Preservation Associate, where she supported the
Land Preservation Team by writing grant applications,
tracking projects and conducting occasional due
diligence. Since then, Megan has transitioned to Land
Preservation Specialist.
Prior to working at the Conservancy, Megan worked in
Washington, DC as coordinator for the Plant Conservation
Alliance, a consortium of federal and non-federal
partners engaged native plant conservation. She has
experience working as a policy analyst at the Center for
Plant Conservation and research experience with plant conservation organizations, farmland owners in the
Hudson Valley and forestland owners in Northwestern
Pennsylvania.
Megan received her BS from Allegheny College and has a
Masters degree in Environmental Policy from Bard
College. In her free time, Megan enjoys kayaking,
gardening, hiking, and cooking.
